Where Has the Time Gone
I cannot believe it has been sooooooooooo long since I wrote. What has happened since July, 2010. I had a birthday, oh yes, so did Mom. She is really getting old. I guess I am also--I am ten now. Got a few problems with a disc but I still go to Lucky Dog Day Care. Like all my friends there. Haven't been in a few days. Mom had her eye operated on, so I have to stay home 'cause she can't drive. Brother, I will be really glad when Tuesday comes, I get to go to Lucky Dog. Well, it's late and I need my beauty sleep but I will definitely come back and write again.

Mom and I have been talking about the 4th of July weekend. There is a lot of what she is saying I don't understand--something about the people in our country were originally from England--where ever that is. This is just too big for me to comprehend but I looked at her attentively like I did. Anyway, these people wanted to live somewhere else and they got on a big ship and came to another country--the one where I live. Wonder if they brought their dogs? What would a dog eat on a big ship? Anyway, these people decided they liked it here and soon began to build houses and lived here. Then they decided they wanted to declare this place their own country. And that's how the United States was born. I did do some research on the computer to understand some of this. Now, me personally, my ancestors are from France that's why I am called a Great Pyrenees dog, but anyway that was a long time ago and I am now living with my Mom here in Colorado Springs, Colorado. I too have gained my independence from living with two former families who were very unkind to me. I have been with Mom for about 3 and 1/2 years now and I just want to say to Mom, "Happy Independence Day, and I live you Mom."

Water Everywhere
Well, I was just writing and my computer lost it's internet connection for a moment. Now I can't remember what I was going to say. So, have a nice night--without anymore booms and lights.
Water Everywhere And Many Drops to Drink
Water coming from above. I look up and water falls in my eyes. Why does it keep on coming? Then there these bright lights and terrible boooms. I just don't like any of it. Well, wait--I think I like it better than when it is sooooooo hot. Mom put up a really cool (pun intended--more computer information) tarp and I stay sheltered from the sun.....and the rain. I just don't like the bright lights at night and the booms. Someone has a really big drum up there. Mom keeps dumping the water out of the top of my tarp so it won't fall down. I stay nice and dry underneath it. But, of course, I can still see when the Biscuit people come home and I wait patiently for another biscuit. I probably have missed a few because when it starts booming, I come inside.

Cocoa, My Friend
I have a friend that lives next door named Cocoa. I think she is a brown lab--that's what Mom says. I really don't know what brown or a lab is but I know she is my friend. She wiggles a lot when she comes out of her gate because she is excited to see me. Sometimes I can see her nose through the little hole in the wood fence. Mom says, "Hi, Cocoa" and Cocoa sticks her nose through that little hole. She has a cute nose--it's smaller than mine.
She has many more biscuits now, because I was eating so many that I wasn't eating my regular food and Mom thought there was something the matter with me. I wish my tummy was bigger so I could have both all those biscuits AND my food. It's all right though, I really need to watch my figure. Oh, the heck with my figure, but I really wish I could eat more. Wonder if they make biscuits that don't fill dogs up so much. I'll have to get on the computer and search that out.
Time for me to go to bed. Had a really good day at Lucky Dog where I can go and play with all sizes and colors of dogs. The other dogs tell me what color they are and I think well, o.k. I guess their Moms told them about their color. Mom says I am big and white. Sounds good to me.

That Biscuit Man Is Grumpy
I was in my dog run this morning and the biscuit man saw me standing there--of course I wanted a biscuit, and he trained me to do that. So, he goes into the garage to get me a biscuit and as he gives it to me he says, "You know, you've almost eaten all my Milkbones." Duh ! It's not like I go out the front gate, go to his front door, knock on it and when Pat comes to the door, I ask her for the key to the garage. She says, "Wait a minute" and then brings it to me asking me to return it when I get finished. Then I go to the garage and forage all the biscuits. (I roll my eyes, as if saying yeah right!) I just can't help it that I am so well behaved, don't bark so much and just look beautiful--even when I have wet clay on my rump from the melting snow. Guess the biscuit man is going to have to go to the store and get some more biscuits.
He has a really nice dog, chocolate lab named Cocoa. She and I sniff each other a lot. A few years ago I went over to Cocoa's yard and she didn't like me being there. That was all right, it is her yard. Do you think she knows the biscuit man is giving me biscuits? Ooooooh, I think she really wouldn't like it. It's not that she would share, she's just is an only dog. So, that's all right. I like other dogs and people also, especially when they have biscuits.
