An Unwelcomed Visitor

What is it Mom? I thought I saw something and I ran and looked under the dining table. What is it Mom? I'm going to stand here and watch and see if it appears again. What do you mean get it? What is it? I'm looking and I don't see anything. Will it bite me? What is it Mom? I don't see it. I'm smelling around and I know it has been here. Where did it go? It sure must run fast. Must be awfully small. I think it has hair like me. Is it as big as me? No, if it was, I could see it. What's a mouse? Will it eat my food? I'll get that mouse. I could wait and wait but you know this is getting really boring. It must have gone to sleep. Mom, it's not here anymore. You're just going to have to put up with it until someone comes and gets it. I need to go to bed. No, Mom, it's not going to bite you. Just go to bed and your friend will take care of it. Yes, I know you had one in the bedroom and it ran over your arm, but this one isn't very brave. That's why it's hiding. Just go to bed and things will be better tomorrow. Goodnight, Mom.............and mouse.

Chasing Biscuits

I just had soooooooo much fun chasing biscuits. No silly, they weren't running--picture that--a biscuit running down the sidewalk. He, He. Mom would through the biscuit and I would run to get it, then chomp, chomp, slober, chomp. She would then throw another and I would run through the snow, sniffing to find it. Yep, there it is, chomp, chomp, slober, slober. This is fun. Whoops, there goes another one. Mom could be a good pitcher, or maybe a quarterback--yes, that's it a quarterback. She has her new Viking shirt on so could play like she is a Minnesota Viking quarterback. Anyway, enough about that. One more, Mom, throw one more. Up in the air the biscuit goes. I am watching it to see where it falls in the snow. Plunk, down it goes and off I go to sniff and chomp. That was fun. Maybe Mom can teach me some more games. Nobody ever taught me any games but Mom has been trying. I think she will succeed. Merry Christmas everybody. Have a wonderful day.

The Buscuit People

Ah yes, the biscuit people came through. I've been waiting out in the cold snow for them to arrive and at last they came. I thought they weren't going to give me a biscuit because they were carrying things. But they said they would be right back--that's what Mom says when she leaves for just a bit. And they did. Yum, this biscuit is good. I really like The Biscuit People. I do wish them a Merry Christmas. When I was out shopping, I saw something they might really like and I whipped out my debit card and bought it. I made Mom wrap it. Yesterday I walked over to the house of the Biscuit People and put it inside the front door. I think one of them came home during the day and put it under their Christmas tree. They are really going to like it. When I saw it, I knew I had to buy it. It does so remind me of them. It's fun giving gifts. Happy Christmas Eve to all.

New Friends

Two little girls came into my dog run today and they are very nice. The taller girl threw a round thing, she called it ball, but I didn't know what to do with it. Mom was trying to teach me what to do with a ball but I didn't understand. Guess I better check out the computer and see what I am supposed to do with it. My previous families didn't ever show me. I know it runs along the ground, but it doesn't smell like food so I don't know what to do with it.
The two girls stayed outside and gave me hugs and rubbed my hair. I really like that. Much better than a ball. Then Mom came out and gave the taller girl a biscuit to give to me. Yes, that was yummy. Mom told me to say hello, she always tells me to do things, and then gives me a biscuit--hey it's food, I definitely can perform for food. The two girls then went in the house and I am still sniffing the ground for crumbs and Mom says "Come, Sophie." I bet it's time to eat. Yep, I see that cup in her hand. Terrific, good eats ! !

What's 16 Degrees?

Mom's shaking and her nose is as wet as mine. She must be cold. Maybe if she grew more hair on her body, she would be warmer. She doesn't even have any hair between her toes--no wonder she keeps shaking her feet. She tells me it's 16 degrees--I don't understand. I know there is some white stuff on the ground and my tarp is kind of drooping, but I think it's nice outside. I dug some dirt in the back yard and found a round thing with a brown cover--maybe it's something Mom planted. How could it grow with the ground so hard? More things I don't under stand. I should get out my dictionary Mom gave me and see if I could find a picture. No, wait--I'll just use this computer and look it up. Whatever was I thinking. I sometimes like to just read a book rather than do all that searching on the internet. I do need my nails cut--some of my letters I keep having to correct as I type. Mom taught me how to type and how to use the computer. She is really cool--I am so lucky that I found her. Gotta go--time to make more snow angels. Sophie Marie signing out.
